A void in El Paso care — and the doctor who filled it
Summit Urgent Care first opened its doors on March 15, 2004, as the first urgent care facility in El Paso. Dr. Mitchell Farrell was already a well-known and respected physician in the community.
Having worked in several El Paso emergency rooms, Dr. Farrell saw that most patients could be treated faster — and far less expensively — somewhere other than an ER. The trouble was, they couldn't be seen when they needed to be. Summit was started to fill that void.
